Social (Di)Stance is a newly conceived large textile work inspired by the former work cycle MyUniform, 2019. Two overlarge fabric suits are intertwined and hold themselve together with their arms as a form of social interaction.
This work is based on the feelings that many may have faced throughout the social restrictions, sentiments of distress, of being isolated – reminding us how social encounters shape our well-being as humans, especially in moments of turmoil and crisis; and how the lack of togetherness and physical proximity affects all aspects of being.
